V. Randolph McMenamin, CFA
Randy McMenamin brings more than 50 years of experience in the investment business to his role as Managing Director of Tufton Capital Management. Prior to co-founding Hardesty Capital Management (now Tufton Capital) in 1995, McMenamin acted as Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Portfolio Manager at Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company. He has been a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1978. McMenamin is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served at the rank of Lt. Colonel until his retirement in 1990 from the Reserves. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University. Randy is involved in key industry organizations, including the CFA Institute and The Baltimore CFA Society. Previously, McMenamin served as President of the RC Heller Foundation and Chairman of the Finance Committee and Board Member of the Grace and St. Peter’s School. He was also a Member of the Finance Committee and Board of Trustees of the Friends Share Fund and a Member of the Broadmead Investment Committee and the Bruck Fund Council. McMenamin is an expert in the fields of industrials, materials and utilities.
